In Loving Memory……….

On Monday 5th December 2016, the Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association held simultaneous Memorial Services, at Scarborough General Hospital and Port of Spain General Hospital for the late Crystal Tobias RN/LM age 29, who was murdered on Monday 28th November.
At the memorial Mr. Idi Stuart, The President of TTRNA addressed nursing personnel and other mourners gathered. He stressed the need for Nurses to Celebrate each other not only in death but in life. He shared that he had recently attended a similar vigil for another slain Nurse/Midwife Mrs. Judy Taylor and noted that the TTRNA is profoundly against violence to women and remains committed to combat violence against nurses!
At the memorial services Tributes for the departed were received from Mrs. Marcia Rollock President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Midwives/ Principal School of Midwifery Port of Spain. Mrs. Rollock, shared that the late Crystal Tobias was an excellent Midwife who had a promising career before her. She lamented however that Crystal had endured an abusive relationship and appealed to those gathered seek help (once needed) before it is too late!
The late Crystal Tobias was laid to rest in Plymoth Tobago following a funeral service at the Church of God, under Seventh Day Adventist Rites.Below are pictures from the Memorial as those gathered Remembered her Kindred Spirit, her excellence in the workplace and her determination to succeed. Crystal Leaves to mourn her 2yr old son Kalel Busby, her mother and grandmother Agatha Tobias, she will be greatly missed. Her estranged husband has been since charged for her murder.

Also made a plea for Women to Get out of abusive relationships, seek help. He called on men and women to make wise choices when choosing partners.
