International Council of Nurses announces new theme for International Nurses Day 2018

Geneva Switzerland – 16 November 2017 – The International Council of Nurses (ICN) is pleased to unveil the theme it has chosen for the 2018 International Nurses Day (IND): Health is a human right. With this strong statement, ICN seeks to raise awareness of the fact that access to health is not a given in every part of the world, and that nurses are key to achieving this access.

Nurses key to ending Tuberculosis in the sustainable development era

Geneva, Switzerland; Moscow, Russia – 20 November 2017 - The nursing profession, which provides the majority of care to patients with tuberculosis (TB), was represented by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) at the first WHO Global Ministerial Conference on ending TB in the Sustainable Development Era held in Moscow on 16-17 November 2017.
