Northern Branch held its first General Branch Meeting on Tuesday 10th January 2017. Some Highlights:
- Theme for 2017 “Year of Multiplication” The Chair, Ms. Letitia Cox, encouraged members to bring another colleague when attending meetings so that more Nursing Personnel can benefit from the representation TTRNA offers
- Safety concerns at Health Facilities
- Evacuation Plans at Health Facilities
- The Importance of TTRNA attaining Recognized Majority Union status to bargain for new terms and conditions of work for Nursing Personnel
- Compensatory Time Off
- Issues affecting Child Assessment Unit (CAU) nurses and how TTRNA advocated on their behalf
- Branch Cook off in Easter
The Northern Branch also issued a reward to a Miss Janelle Jacob a member who registered on our walk about and recruitment drive on Monday 9th January 2017. Janelle won Lunch for two at the Hyatt, by simply registering to become a member and attending our Branch Meeting. Look out for more promotions and realize some of the benefits of membership
